For some reason the fact that someone tells me to go to school, and a couple of people are kinda pushing me, makes me want to just go. They arn't worried about me but still care (well some do), and even that little ammount of effort just to say you should go to school so you could get paid for doing what you like doing. Rather than get no support from friends and feel like shit because your stuck on the bottom while your friends go up.
You dont have to involve yourself too much, just enough to motivate them to do the right thing
