1) Lost in Translation, Igby Goes Down, or, of course, Old School. :)
2) A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, by Betty Smith, any of the Harry Potter books, The Bridge of San Luis Rey, Thornton Wilder, Sondheim's biography, or Neil Simon's two volumes of memoirs
3) Virginia Coalition (VACO) has some great music. Anything Sondheim is also fantastic ("Someone in a Tree" from Pacific Overtures is something not often heard, but wonderful).
