JUBILATIONS! IT APPEARS TO BE FIXED!

Thanks to all yall for support and helps. Still have no idea how the virus got on in the first place, but! Here we are.

Often, it happens because of drive-by downloads just from visiting infected sites and/or sites using infected ad-servers. I don't know which browser you use, but if you use Firefox, you might want to look into installing the Adblock Plus add-on and NoScript add-on (both available from Mozilla's add-ons page). These make it much easier to avoid the incidental downloads because you can block things like scripts and Flash, and NoScript lets you temporarily allow them on pages where you absolutely must use Flash and/or JavaScript (these are often responsible for a lot of drive-by malware downloads). I hear that Internet Explorer 8 is supposedly considerably more secure than its earlier incarnations, but I would still avoid using it whenever possible ( ... )
