And I am the mother of a high school graduate. This is...very weird. My son is, for all intents and purposes, a man. This is very weird. I am equal parts indescribably proud, and totally weirded out.
One of the pleasures of life is watching the children of friends grow up. The couple I get together with for bike rides a few times a year, their daughters are finishing up their second year of college and their junior year of high school, and I've known both the girls practically since they popped out of the womb.
