I wouldn’t say that I’m here very much, but I still get notifications from LJ on occasion. I hang out at DW more (not that anyone would really notice, I’m not very verbose there either. Although I do crosspost to LJ too.) However the plan is to write more on DW, since I’m no longer on Facebook

By the end of today, FOGcon will have been over for two weeks, and we know of no one who got sick (other than Alan, who had a reprise of a nasty cough but no other symptoms, and who was cleared by Kaiser). But I completely get why you were careful. We missed you!

I have been getting my studio in order, a thing I have been delaying for months due to making art for three sales events and a major commission delivery, all happening in the early weeks of the year. I can get very involved in this. Having cleared my workbenches, I plan to start alternating doing creative work in alternation with the cleaning.
My current exercise program mostly involves walking outdoors, avoiding people, places, and things. There are some amazing homes and gardens to be looked at.
One couple on my block proposed a twice-daily event, during which people could go to the sidewalk, wave to each other, and exchange greetings at a distance of six feet or more. This developed, at one point, into a half-hour discussion of origami (my next door neighbor’s hobby), with illustrative examples.
I'm also doing a lot of telephone and email conversations. There is at least one virtual filk convention on the internet, which I need to look into, and maybe join. This would require getting my old FireWire webcam into operation.

I like what your block is doing; makes me think of the singing from balconies in Italy. And thanks for letting me know who you are.
