Would you rather die, eaten by sharks, or over 3 months in a hospital bed with a million tubes sticking out of you?

I think in the ICU and acute specialties, you deal more often with death and the dying. Or at least you Remember the times where you dealt with death rather than you dealt with life.

I still like my job though! (I hope :x)

no i mean its natural that you remember when you see death more significantly - only obs gynae you really see life, you know what i mean - i really really loved my week in delivery suite hahahaahah but sadness ++++ just sucks

that didn't really make much sense but - what i meant was, i don't hate my job, far from it most of the time, but its just jarring stuff like that that makes you think twice about when people assume stuff about the job haha

oh haha yea i get what you mean... like it's not rainbows and sunshine all the time. That being said, I don't like obs gynae. Women and their problems scare me, even more than kids do.
