Is Google likely to have a need for someone whose experience is as a hardware quality assurance technician?

It reminds me that the problem I had when I tried to expand my job search is that I couldn't find anything else for a library cataloger (another highly specific tech career), and, on the occasion that a software developer thought they could use one, it turned out that they didn't really know what one was or did.

Google [X] have all kinds of interesting needs, and there’s also the logistics chain that creates our data centers; I wouldn’t be surprised if we needed hardware QA in there. It’s worth a look.
