Why Hermione Wound Up in Griffindor & the Current Insanity

I've been rereading the Harry Potter books. When I first read them, I wondered, as others have, why is Hermione in Griffindor instead of Ravenclaw? She's so smart and book-oriented, that seems wrong

I'm equally puzzled by the Trump vote among the general masses (as opposed to the dedicated Republicans, who had nowhere else to go). Everything I've read purporting seriously to explain this has consisted of explanations of how frustrated and helpless rural whites and others feel. Sure, I get that - Obamacrat declarations of how well the economy is doing mean nothing to individuals who are actually being beaten down by it - but I cannot figure out how on earth these voters thought Trump would be a solution to their problems

The only thing I understand are the billionaire cabinet picks (he said, "Give me money and you can have any cabinet position you want.") That is the ONLY thing that makes sense. Maybe some others know some of the secrets that everyone alludes to, but so far no one has pinned down.

I feel that we are victims of a massive fraud, and we'd better find out how it happened before we end up with another Putin.
