Big ugly decision:  Harry Potter #7 comes out the night of July 20.  Borders wants three OMSI educators at a few of its locations doing Potions for the event.  So cool!  It's clear to them to ask me because (1)  chem lab!  dry ice! cool stuff! and (2) I already have a Hogwarts costume (oh yes).  But!  It's freaking Harry Potter #7!  The last book

If you did potions at the Borders event, you could always insert anti-corporate, even specifically anti-Borders messages into your spiel. Just find a way to work corporate culture into the whole Harry Potter mythology. It shouldn't be hard to do in a way that's at the same time noticable, yet not in-your-face apparent. You'd probably have a lot of room to fudge it anyway, since you'd be part of a big attrattion, which they wouldn't want to loose.
