tutorial : daisy from dlm coloring
my first tutorial for how i color my dead like me icons.

01. i took this cap from Striped Wall
02. crop your icon how ever you choose & screen (lower the opacity if it is too bright)

03. now add a hue/saturation level. play with the levels until you find something that isn't too overpowering.
i set mine to +15.
04. now add a curves layer
BLUE : Input - 90 ; Output - 104
Input - 120 ; Output - 153
05. add another curves layer
RGB : Input - 119 ; Output - 141
RED : Input - 108 ; Output - 136
BLUE : Input - 159 ; Output - 103
now you're going to want to play with the opacity of this layer because depending on the cap
it makes it really really yellow. i put it at 77% but lower is better. and remember you can always play with it later! :)
06. the final step is adding a fill layer of #190E03 (or any dark brown fill) set to difference
and it gives you this :
sometimes i make many variations of all the layers and just test them against the others.
i play around a lot with curves and fill layers
i have this in a psd file so if you would like that to help you just let me know and ill upload it
i only ask that you don't copy this exact coloring. it is only a guide.
