Lol, I know of a few people that did that. I think the Family First people planned it that way, those sneaky bastards. I bet they all sat around and said,
'Hmm, so, what's a friendly sounding name that vaguely represents what we're about? Remember, they can't know we're intolerant and hate everyone that's not us.'
'What about families? Even people who aren't us have families!'
'Yeah! And let's put families FIRST! It makes us sound like we like people!'

Those bastards. 'Cause if it hadn't been mentioned by a friend what they were actually like, I would've done the same thing! If I could vote, that is. Which I can't. ='(

And yeah, they're a very strange bunch. Very...very strange. =S And they just came from nowhere! It's like they just suddenly appeared. Creepy stuff.

Bad News

Looks like Howard's legislative power will be unrestricted by Family First in the Senate, who look like they won't win that extra seat. Pity.

By the way, Labor could also lie through its teeth, but wouldn't dare get rid of Medicare. International law is not binding on countries as they are creators, enforcers and subjects of it and because the only breaches of IL that go punished have to be highly publicised around the world, they can be as arrogant as they like about refugees.
ALP was far better on forestry policy... but I'm afraid interest rates have an awful lot to do with the Australian Government's fiscal policy amongst other policies.

But yeah, on the whole, spewing about the result.
