the war of the oak has begun.
the autumnal thwack of a multitude of acorns splitting against the ground makes our shoulders jump.
one acorn cap to rule them all.

If you don't mind my asking, wildbluesky what were your Math SAT scores? In other words, if my daughter wants to go to a 7-Sisters-esque kind of college where she can exhibit her genius in the language arts, does it matter that she's an idiot challenged when it comes to math?

Thank you for that complete and thoughtful response. It definitely makes me feel better.

I got into good universities with an almost-perfect SAT verbal score and a paltry 480 in Math! But that was then, and this is now; it's a lot harder to get into a good school these days.

I am counting on you to write The Girl a letter of recommendation when the time comes!

M-

It's Jill, the frosh from fourth floor! Eek! So glad to have met you! We NEED to have a geeky fangirl night or twelve this year before you leave! And you must come to moot with me sometime before the end of the year, if not in December then in February to break up the monotony! See you soon!

-Jill
