so, i am now (unofficially until march) a master of arts in medieval studies. feels...i was going to say it feels no different but thats a lie, it feels really fucking good. i put in a lot of work, got good marks, won an award, and wrote a (hopefully!) fairly good dissertation on genealogy and descent as a literary trope in anglo-norman "historical

I'm not "over" Galway yet in any significant way, and I was only there for six months... York will stay with you, pictures or no pictures (though those are always nice to have).

Welcome home! Perhaps we can rendezvous when I'm next in D.C.? I actually just was there, but missed your return by a few days. My family now lives in Van Ness (but will be moving to Cleveland Park at some point, or possibly even Bethesda!). Enjoy our home city--I miss it here in the forsaken north. :(
