"Is it just me, or does anyone else kind of want to keep their idea a secret"
Yeah, I can't decide if I want to gush about details on that one post on the community or just keep it all a surprise. I think I need to at least write an outline for myself so I can figure out how long each part will take to write and that sort of thing.
Yeah, if I had enough of the details worked out on my own as of now, I'd probably want to spill everything to maybe just one or two people, but I'm still working out some different angles and whatnot.
It's definitely not just you! I work best when I can tell the story to someone before/as I'm writing it (sort of "outlining out loud), but I don't think that's common. Some people are sure to play it so close to the vest, they won't even want to say what characters they're writing about. So whatever you wind up doing, I'm sure you'll be in good company. \0/
:) I feel like having at least second perspective is probably a wise thing to do... I just wouldn't want everyone to know how everything was going to go down in the story, because half the fun in reading it would be gone.
