Thoughts on HSM3
I was able to see HSM3 yesterday and had some thoughts..
I liked it but I being a Chyan fan (and more specifically a Ryan fan) HSM2 is still my favorite. This one had some good songs and moments - Troy dancing with Ryan, Ryan winning a scholarship, the outfits - but I felt let down by the whole thing.
I really liked "I Want It All"..but then it was a Ryan/Sharpay song and I like Ryan and really like Sharpay the best out of the 3 main girls. But there wasn't enough Sharpay - she had her plot this time but it seemed like it was only an afterthought. I felt really bad for her when that chick (can't remember her name) went out to play "Sharpay". Sharpay didn't really even do anything that mean this time. Gabriella was going to leave anyway so she just told Troy a little early..
Surprisingly I actually liked a Troy/Gabriella song. I tend to tune them out and pretty much skip their songs on the albums but "Can I Have This Dance" is one of my favorites on the album now and just a really pretty song. But other than that, there really isn't enough Ryan singing. "I Want It All" doesn't really showcase his singing and the only real song that has him "singing" is the "Just Want to Be With You" and he only gets to sing a bit.
During "Scream" all I could think about was Footloose ;)
Other than that..just really sad the whole thing is over :(
Also did anyone notice Chad and Ryan were wearing their rings on their middle finger but Troy's was on his ring finger? I didn't notice the other guys to see though..
