new LJ

I'm very tempted to start with a clean slate and a new LJ. I've changed a lot in the three years i've had this one and its a bit of a mess. I also want to start clean with record keeping

I did that too - I think my first eljay over at fiftybelowzero is three years old or so. I changed it for the same reasons.

A lot goes into a livejournal name! Although they can just be silly and fun too (like Callums!). My current one is a lyric from a favourite Marilyn Manson song. It basically means that I am 'still a worm' and haven't blossomed into a 'butterfly' yet (i.e I've still got a lot to learn). In a few years (or maybe sooner) I'll be changing it too.

I can't really think of anything, sorry! It's got to come from DEEP WITHIN! :D

the problem is I like mine. I want to keep mine. I want a new journal with mine. I want to delete my journal and start a new one in five minutes. But ti doesnt' work that way. GRRRRR!

but yeah every few years..you need a change.

I like your LJ name but I guess it depends whether you think it fits you still. Where you were when you created it might not be where you are now...that's what matters. Does that make any sense at all?? ;)

I still like the name, but its the conent of the LJ that is driving me mad. I want to wipe everything bar a few p ieces and just start again..keep hte name but nothing else almost. I k nwo there are a lot of 'friends' on the flist who don't check in anymore for instance, but i can't delete them. And yes it bugs me.

A lot of people move to other journals. Like you said, it's a chance to wipe the slate clean. And if you ever need this one for something else, you'll still have it. ^_^

I know you can change the name of your journal, but I'm not sure if you can move it to a new one. I guess there is the option of deleting and recreating though I'm not sure on the amount of lag time there would be between. The other option is to do a mass delete of posts and just keep what you want.
