THE OUTLAND

Rating: NC-17 (for entire story)
Feedback: Any and all is welcome

This story is for Canstandit, and this chapter maybe should be subtitled "Ranch Life".

This entire story is beyond wonderful. I delight in reading each sentence. You are a craftsman, and I sure wish I could write like you do.

Thank you very, very much for writing and sharing this story with us.
Love,
Jenna

Thank you, Jenna! I was thinking this chapter might just sound like pages from "The Rancher's Handbook", if such a book exists, but it was fun writing about the mundane stuff. I'm glad you liked it.

This was great. I loved the insight into their daily life, the tough and gritty stuff they have to do but done with grit and strong determination. I love the working relationship Ennis and Jack have, despite OMT not giving them a drop of thanks for their back breaking work. But feel this sense of foreboding....Jack so content with his sweet life, I don't want that to be shattered in any way. But Alma having the number, I assume it was her who rang? What's she going to do? I see trouble ahead....I hope I'm wrong.

Loved this chapter with the earth coming back to life and new life being born - it may be mundane but to me its reading about another world; one I'm not used to.

I love this fic and hope Alma is not about to cause too much trouble!

I love writing about the cycles of the earth. I think it's a great element to play with.

Well, it looks like you know what you're writing about ranch life. But *your* "The Rancher's Handbook" is interesting!

I'm glad that Jack recovered almost completely and of course I appreciated this:

''The only time Jack pleaded weakness was on occasional nights when he flung himself spreadeagle on their bed, declared he was far too feeble and helpless to do anything, and requested that Ennis have his wicked way with him.'' ;-)

But also this bit left me in a puddle:

"How's that, baby?" Ennis murmured, bending down to Jack's ear.
"Mmmmmm---what? What did you say?" Jack whispered back.
"I asked how you felt."
"You called me baby."
"No, I didn't."
"Swear to god, you did."
"Well, so what if I did," Ennis blushed.
"You just keep goin, darlin, won't hear no complaint from me."

((I still don't know how to put little hearts icons here ;-))

I'm so glad you ''rerouted'' a bit your great talent in the direction ''happy fic''.

Thank you for writing!

Antonella
