Loved the chapter. So sweet that Ennis is finally letting himself feel the love that he has for Jack.
But I really hope they get those sores taken care of soon.

ahhhhhh, very satisfying chapter, however I got tired myself reading about all that hard ranch work. I was kind of taken aback by Jack's discovery. I was relieved he was not mad at Ennis. I really love this story!

I found the idea of Ennis getting an std from the waitress and Jack catching and diagnosing it interesting--one place where Ennis' naivete gets them into trouble and Jack's experience will, hopefully, get them out. It reverses their positions to have Ennis bringing a problem to their relationship and Jack accepting it. I shudder to think of Ennis in the clinic, but at least he's going in because he got something from a woman.:-) It's all given Ennis his own set of sexual sins, hasn't it?

It's good to hear Ennis realizing that: The arm wrapped tightly around his waist had been strong and protective: even in sleep, Jack was taking care of him. We haven't heard enough of how Ennis relies on Jack and respects his abilities. Your writing about their feelings for each other is lyrical, though, as it often is ( ... )

I thought of this story the last few days. Glad you updated.
I don't know why Ennis doesn't want to go to the doc. One more chance to show his manliness. uhuuu you can tell I'm a little pissed with him.
anyway- this was once more a wonderful chapter. Ennis is finally where he really wants to be aaaaand - more important- he is able to tell and show Jack.
