Well, I am kinda glad.
They got it over with. And though it could have gone better, and bad as it was I see Rob coming around it.
And Junior obviously understood. No need for Ennis to worry about her.
I really liked the way Lureen, Ennis and Jack reacted around each other. Also the conversation with Rob seemed very real. His reaction. His thoughts.
The wedding was really nice. I wondered just how much drink Ennis had to confess such a thing to his daughter, let alone tell Alma that he loves Jack. ;) But I don't mind. It was really good. And I loved the end. Two pieces of cake ... *smiles*
Thank you for the wonderful new chapter, all the best, B.

There were two pieces. Alma had handed him two pieces.

I love it. It was her peace (piece) offering. Sorry, had to do it. Good night.

This was a series of ups and downs, and you had me holding my breath more than once as I was reading. I was glad it ended on a bit of a high note with Alma giving Ennis the 2 pieces of wedding cake. Also was delighted with what Junior said to Ennis at the wedding when they danced, and by the way, I loved the shirt Jack picked for Ennis and what he was thinking about how Ennis looked in it. And it gave me hope too when Bobby (Rob) asked Ennis how he'd find them.....like I said, it was a series of ups and downs. Some of the "downs" were pretty upsetting, but it wasn't all bad. I enjoyed the chapter very much!!!

Hope that Rob can get his head around things and understand that his Dad is still his Dad and still loves his son. Junior seems to have quessed how things are and just wants her Dad to be happy with someone. Alma must have decided to accept things a little to have given two pieces of cake. I hope that things go better in the next chapter that I am eagerly awaiting!
Thank you!

There was no easy way to tell Rob, and I hope in time he will understand and not hate Jack. Your Laureen comes off more realistic the most although I like a sympathetic and helpful one, she was deeply hurt and had a right to let them know, but she was not totally cruel, even Alma handing Ennis two peaces of cake, not totally accepting but maybe a small peace offering, they still have children between them, that bond would always be there.
Thank you it was a very moving chapter, one just gets the urge to hug everyone and tell them all will be well.
I hope so.
Hugs
