becoming what we focus on makes sense....I've definitely found that when it comes to making big personal changes, it only can happen if it becomes a priority, or focal point. (mostly, in the case of weight loss)

negative language, it's interesting how influential it can be. "don't run" vs "walk," like you mentioned above...just putting the idea of what NOT to do into one's mind somehow seems to encourage potential for that action to happen. Like planting a seed.

I used to get irritated by those signs that would say "thank you for not smoking," or "thank you for not touching the glass," because it seemed to go with the assumption that I was smoking or touching the glass to start with.
