Is it possible that I've been so busy that coming back here was pushed to the back of my mind? Well, only partly true.

Randy is always saying the people are out of tune, when I think he just doesn't know what being "in tune" is. Sometimes the voices are shaky, but that's more of an endurance problem than tuning, right? Also, Simon says he doesn't like some acts, but he can't accurately describe what he doesn't like about that (he just says 'no!') Paula seemed like a decent judge, but again, she couldn't say any technical problems that were present in the performance.
However, in SYTYCD, it's clear that most of the judges are classical trained in ballet, and they can accurately state the shortcomings of the performance. I think that's the reason why the ratings for this show are higher than AI.

I don't know about you, but I can tell EXACTLY WHY they sounded that way, and believe me, it usually has nothing to do with 'having a moment' as Simon would say.
Absolutely correct about endurance.
I've never seen SYTYCD, but I like the idea of having judges classically trained in that field!!!! :)
