GRAD DRESS SHOPPING. I HAVE WAITED YEARS FOR THIS. WATCHED SISTERS, COUSINS, FRIENDS AS THEY TRIED ON BEAUTIFUL DRESS AFTER BEAUTIFUL DRESS. AND NOW MY TIME HAS COME.
Haha, well, okay. I'm not that excited. But I'm pretty psyched. My mom and I (oh yes, I go shopping with my mom - especially since she's buying it) went to look for a dress for Winter Formal. Actual grad dress shopping won't happen till later - who knows, I could gain or lose tons of weight, or change my mind, or whatever. Anyway, I tried on seven, and of those, four didn't work for the sole reason that my bust wouldn't fit. No, seriously, perfect everywhere else, but the zipper stopped dead right below my breasts. WTF is up with that? I am not that big.
But one of them did work - a medium purple knee-length one, very thin spaghetti straps, toga-style (you know, with a strip of cloth hanging from the cleavage to the hem in the front?) with a kind of weaving thing for the bodice. It was one of those V-necks that's curvy on top - you know, kind of like the top of a cartoon heart? And also, I fail at describing dresses. It was pretty, and it made my breasts look pretty hot, I think. It also gave me a bit of height (which is nothing short of a miracle). It was double-layed, with a satin kind of material underneath and then a filmy one on top. The top layer ran a bit longer on the hem, and it flowed nicely.
Well, yeah, that was more detail than you needed, but whatever. I couldn't take a picture because they don't let you, but I liked it and am considering it. It was $75, which isn't bad. I didn't buy it though, because we only went to one store today. (We left late, and of course things close early on Sundays.)
But I'm just updating to say that I GET FANCY DRESSES THIS YEAR. The little girl in me who used to wear tiaras around the house is absolutely thrilled.
What should I do with my hair? I'm thinking loose curls...
