Authors Notes: Written for the tfic_contest  Christmas requests - Soundwave/anyone - consenual tentacles.   Soundwave also proved to me that he is a Decepticon through and through.  Parts of this were inspired by an rp with kaidalittledrac, so my thanks to her for letting me use the ideas we came up with. Feedback makes friends. Flames dealt with by the masters of paranoia and fire, Red Alert and Inferno.
The act of plugging in and ploughing through streams of data was intoxicating.  Several times Ratchet had told Red Alert that he should limit the time he was plugged into the systems.  But he couldn't stop himself.  The feeling of moving through the data, of it moving around him, was more than he ever thought he could find when he was out of the system.
The first time he encountered Soundwave, he was immersed in the system.  A tingling sensation warned him that the firewalls were being systematically hacked.  Turning within the system, he made his way towards the intruder, simultaneously alerting the other security mechs that they were being invaded.  Being immersed in the system, he was at an advantage in trying to fight off Suundwave.  Shoring up the firewalls, he deflected the viruses and hacks as best he could. Ultimately, Soundwave was the better, and Red Alert quickly found himself being subdued, wrapped in lines of code that entangled him and trapped him in the system.  The only reason Soundwave was stopped was an Autobot patrol that had been alerted by security and had managed to discover the Decepticon's location.
The time it took Ratchet, Wheeljack and Perceptor to extract him from the system gave him plenty of time to think.  Unfortunately, most of his thoughts seemed to center on Soundwave and his abilities.
The second time he encountered Soundwave, he met the mech face to face.  Infiltrating the Decepticon base, he'd been in the act of plugging into their systems to download the files the Special Ops team had sent him after, when he felt tentacles tapping against his plating, searching for a way underneath to enter his systems.  He arched back, helpless as one tentacle, then a second found their way under his armor, plugging directly into his systems, and then he could *feel* Soundwave slid his presence into his processor.  He squirmed, crying out as he tried to break free.  Soundwave's mental voice told him it was useless to struggle.  Yet he couldn't not struggle.  Soundwave already knew who he was - that much would have been clear to him the moment he hacked Red Alert's systems.  He held too much valuable information to be hacked.

"Get off him freak!" Mirage's voice and the subsequent gunfire was almost unwelcome, and Red Alert found himself whining as Soundwave's tentacles retracted and he fell forward, barely catching himself on the console.  Knowing that there was little more they could do having been discovered, Mirage grabbed Red Alert's arm, dragging him towards the door, rifle still trained on Soundwave.

"I'm worried about Red Alert." Ratchet spoke quietly, yet he got Prime's attention immediately.
"Why?" "Since the incident with Soundwave, he's been more withdrawn.  He's not recharging properly and he's barely taking in enough energon to keep his systems functioning."
"I'll speak with him." Prime nodded, adding Red Alert to the already long list of mechs he had to speak to.
"Thank you.  I've tried.  But he just won't listen to me."

As it turned out, Prime didn't have a chance to speak to Red Alert.  Alarms flared and mechs raced to the base entrance, ready to fight off the intruders.  Once the Decepticons had been repelled and the chaos reigning over the base had calmed down, they realised that Red Alert was missing.

The white mech slipped from shadow to shadow, blending in far more than his coloring suggested he should be able to.  He followed Soundwave back to his base, watching as his symbiotes were released and disappeared off to various locations around the base, presumambly to keep an optic on things, judging by the way Soundwave relaxed on his berth.
He made his way in, circumnavigating the security on the small base, grateful that it was actually just Soundwave and his symbiotes based here.  Evidently no Decepticon wanted to be in the same place as the communications specialist.  And yet here was Red Alert, slipping carefully down the corridor to hotwire Soundwave's door. The Decepticon looked up as the door slid open to reveal Red Alert, optic band flickering in what could have possibly been amusement.
"Why are you here?" Soundwave didn't move, just watching Red Alert as the Autobot stepped inside, the door sliding closed behind him, sealing them both in. "Because of you." If Soundwave was surprised, he didn't let it show on his face. "Oh?" Soundwave wanted to let the Autobot explain.  He wasn't a threat, Soundwave knew exactly how to disarm this Autobot - the beauty of having been in his processor.
"You... since you..." Red Alert stammered out his explanation.  "Since you hacked me, all I want to do is feel you again.  Feel you in my systems." Soundwave sat up, keeping his optics on the smaller Autobot.
"You desire me?" He found the concept rather strange, as most of the other Decepticons wanted nothing to do with him.
"Yes." Red Alert's reply was barely above a whisper.  He knew he shouldn't be doing this, knew he shouldn't be here.  But he couldn't stop himself.  He had to experience it again. A tentacle snaked out from Soundwave's back, heading unerringly towards Red Alert.  The Autobot held his ground, optics focussed on the tentacle.
"You will allow this?" Soundwave had to check.  He wasn't above taking Red Alert by force, but the mere fact that the Autobot had come all this way meant something.
"I do." Again, a whisper and the tentacle hit Red Alert's foot, slithering up and around his leg.  Another tentacle grasped his left arm, tugging him closer to the berth.  Soundwave didn't even have to move, pulling Red Alert closer with his tentacles.  Once the Autobot was standing in front of the berth, Soundwave released more tentacles, these ones more designed to lock onto a mech's systems and burrow their way in.

One tentacle found its way in just above his hips, a gap in the plating allowing easy access.  Red Alert gasped as the connection was made, data flooding his systems.  Another tentacle burrowed in his shoulder joint, connecting itself and increasing the flow of data.   It wasn't long before Soundwave had eight tentacles connected to the small Autobot, all pulsing data through his systems.  Red Alert had slumped in his grip, the data flowing through his systems nearly shorting his motor controls.  If it wasn't for all the tentacles Soundwave had extended, he would be on the floor. A flash of approval ghosted through his systems as Soundwave made his presence known.  Red Alert whimpered at the intrusion, feeling the Decepticon move through his systems, breezing past firewalls as though they weren't even there.  Yet he couldn't deny he enjoyed the sensation.
Oh you like this, don't you? Soundwave murmured, his telepathy giving him the advantage.  He could feel everything the Autobot could feel and was rather aroused to know that this was turning the Autobot on.

Red Alert just nodded, letting his head loll.  Soundwave pulled him closer, positioning him on the berth and straddling him, letting hands and tentacles wander over Red Alert's frame, using the knowledge he gained from the mech's processors to find the most sensitive spots.  His efforts were rewarded as Red Alert arched up underneath him, gasping for air, cooling fans clicking on. "Please..." Red Alert whimpered, twisting and writhing underneath Soundwave.  Allowing himself a moment to capture a recording of the Autobot, Soundwave connected another couple of tentacles, bombarding Red Alert's systems with information and static.
He searched through the Autobot's memories, confirming that this was the mech he had had several dealings with.  Oh what sweet revenge.  Sending a surge of data through his tentacles, he forced Red Alert into an overload, relishing the blankness as the Autobot's systems reset.  He didn't withdraw, gathering more information while the Autobot was offline.

When Red Alert onlined, he was in the medical bay of the Autobot base, a worried Ratchet staring down at him.
"I've just spent the last orn clearing your systems of viruses."
"Wha?" Red Alert struggled to process what Ratchet was saying.  The last thing he remembered was overloading, Soundwave's tentacles pulsing in his systems.  And then nothing.
"Soundwave caught you." Ratchet informed him.  "Jazz found you in his base, in stasis and wrapped up in more tentacles than I thought the mech had."
"Oh..." He'd been caught.  In the very act of interfacing with Soundwave.  Not that the others knew that.  He hoped the others didn't know that.  He started to sit up, anxious to get away.
"Oh no, you can just like back down.  You can go once I've performed one last scan." Ratchet admonished, pushing Red Alert back down on the berth.  Sighing, Red Alert lay there, thoughts drifting to Soundwave, despite his best efforts.  All he wanted to do was immerse himself in work, to try and forget what had happened.
Try and forget Soundwave.
