well, i think you should leave the non participants out, and still vote an icon off. its still early in the LIMS. but it depends on how many people are still remaining. if its alot, then do the voting, if its a little bit, like 3-4 (more or less), don't.

if you decide not to do the voting, can you atleast post the icons (w/o the maker's name)so we can atleast see what the competition was?

and i like the journal-comment reminders. you're not the only one. i got one yesterday (randomly) and i thought it was pretty cool.

I'm going to agree with Crazee-bi-chick. If there was a lot missing, then maybe you should extend it. If there's a sufficient amount of entries, still put up the voting. I'd like to see the competition as well.

I was wondering when can we see the icons that were entered?

I would liked comment reminders on everything. That would be wonderful. Since I'm taking four classes in college it's nice to have a reminder of what's going on because then I can take a "study break" and making my icons and stuff. :)

Also, I think people who didn't participate should be automatcially voted out.

You could just count the nonparticipaters out without counting it as an elimination round. When you post the icons to be voted on you could simply mention that so-and-so is automatically out of the challenge for not submitting their entry on time. It doesn't much matter to me if you eliminate them either though. But I do think that the reminders are a good idea as I'm pretty absent-minded most of of the time. :)
