I love and appreciate how often you make them question themselves and their purpose, that nothing is ever really easy, and that everyone has their own story and motivations to contend with, which you can feel even if it's not explicitly spelled out. This chapter felt like a place to stop and contemplate. THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM. The awesome, emotionally wrenching calm before the storm.
