She hadn't meant to fall asleep. She had intended to let him fall asleep and then get going, like she had done plenty of times before. It seemed in the last week or so that she was falling asleep there more and more often. So much so that she had actually started carrying a toothbrush in her purse. She certainly wouldn't go as far as to leave one there, because that would be admitting too much

Fred heard the angry rumblings on the other side of the door. She sucked in a breath, preparing for the worst. She knew Wesley was still really angry with all of them and he had a right to be, for sure. But, she missed him. A lot. And they all really needed him back.
As he threw open the door, she noticed that his expression almost softened or was at least full of surprise when he saw it was her. She let out the breath she was holding, trying to push a meek smile onto her face. "Hi, Wesley," she said in a quiet voice.
"I-I'm sorry to bug you," she started, glancing down to absently play with the hem of her shirt. She had to keep her hands busy, simply out of her own nervousness. "But, I thought you should know that Cordelia's back," she said, swallowing a large lump in her throat, wondering if he would ever care that his old friend had returned after she had been missing for months.
"Sh-she's not exactly herself though," Fred said, "She lost her memory and doesn't know who any of us are or who she was before she became a higher
If Fred thought that his look softened at the sight of her, she was sadly mistaken. Wesley had not forgotten what the woman had told him at the hospital when he had no means to defend himself. Hardly fair. And just like the others she, too, had turned her back on him
