Lara's baby was born around 4 a.m. this morning! I have no real information on it, since Aaron is my source and he completely failed at getting details. I shall have to post more later, after we go over this evening and bring them dinner and see our new nephew! All I know is, Lara called Rebecca around 3 a.m. and said she'd been having contractions

Men are such dorks. Does he give, the untintelligible, shrug and "Uhdunuh", or the more honest, "I didn't ask,"?

It's Aaron--and he's always right--therefore, he rolls his eyes and says, "I don't know, I didn't ask," and then gives me a look like I'm an idiot for wondering, but I know it's just to cover up the fact that he didn't think of something. :)

I got more details on the actual birth--she had some cramping that woke her around 130am, her water broke around 2, the midwife got there at 330 and said "go for it" and the TEN POUND baby was born at 410. Babies seem to come really fast in this family!

Shit! Ten pounds! That's gotta sting. I'm glad everything went well though. Impressive how quickly the midwife got there that early in the morning.

UberGeek always forgets to ask the details. He always finds out the sex and that baby and mom are well, but the other details he considers extraneous!

Congratulations, by the way. I'm sure she'l be beautiful!

The Baby (it turns out I can't blame Aaron for not getting the name, Baby isn't named yet--but Aaron didn't know that, because he still didn't ask!) is beautiful. He actually looks just like the baby in your icon! I think he's a little bigger, though. He's just over 10 lbs! Everybody is healthy and fairly content.

The baby's a boy? How marvelous, and so big. My nephew, who is one, was 10.5 when he was born. My immediate response was for his poor mom!

I do hope things go smoothly for them all.
