We are having a blood drive at work next week and one of the guys I work with called the organization that will be collecting our blood to find out what they did with the goods after they were sucked from our arms. He found out that this organization is actually a business (meaning not a nonprofit organization) and sells the blood to hospitals for

Oh wow, that is interesting! You never even think of Red Cross making money on blood donation. hmmm.

I donated blood at the hospital where I worked, they pay you, too, but they use it themselves, without reselling it.

they should pay you $5 to give blood then. lord, they would still make a profit. ugggh. if i am going to give blood i want what is owed to me. donate my butt. lol. you take that extra rice krispy then, do it girl! lol. in my will i will donate any working organ i have left. the rest of me can be cremated and put up on my (future) kids mantle. lol.
