I am getting so frustrated with my living situation right now. My sister drives me crazy. Sometimes it's fine. We'll get along great and have fun. Other times I want to scream. I really want to find another place to live. I want a small house or apartment or whatever. Something with a small yard. That allows cats and dogs. In all actuality, I'd ( Read more... )

My father used to train our cats to use the litter box by wiping their bums with a paper towel and then throwing it in the box. Something about the smell and all that, it usually seems to work.

How much money do you make?! I couldn't imagine buying a house at this point, I don't seem to make anywhere near enough.

I'll have to try that.

I don't really make that much. I make $8.50 an hour. But the house I'm seriously looking at with all the repairs is plausible. It's listed at 89,000 so I could possibly offer 75,000 for it. I talked to the bank and with my income, I could get a loan in the range of 80,000 with mortgage payments a little below the 625 I pay for rent now. I'd probably still require a roommate. But at least I'd be working towards something I really want. A home that would be mine by the time I'm 50...unless somehow I can pay it off sooner than the 30 year mortgage allows for. Which beats renting until I die.

Jerry stopped pooping on the floor once he got his own box and when I began to be sure to scoop it at least once a day and change it out entirely once a week at the least. Yeah, your sister yelling at the kitten isn't going to make things better. :o\

I'll have to see about getting another litterbox. If nothing else it will mean I can shut him in my room when I'm not home so she doesn't make unsubtle remarks every five minutes about the living room smelling like cat poop and me finding a new home for him. Because even if it takes awhile for him to be broken of it, it is absolutely no business of hers what my room is like.
