• I've noticed a disturbing trend in commercials as of late: the sudden, unexpected appearance of sales representatives. Burger King guy, the Sprint Girl, the Alltel guy - all just showing up in your house! Not only is it creepy, it's creepy. Truly this is a cause for concern.

So, for my grad/undergrad class on Protected Area Management in Africa and the Americas with Dr. Child and Dr. Ignacio, selections from all the papers were taken for a "nuggets" paper - a collection of quotations, with context, taken from what we had written. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that only two other people list "misanthropy" as an interest on Facebook, and that it seems to not be altogether serious in either case. Social network databases ontologically don't really attract misanthropes. I guess.
