Found, quite appropriately, in Doonesbury@Slate's "Say What?":
"'Faggot' isn't offensive to gays; it has nothing to do with gays."
-- Ann Coulter

Will someone just shoot her and get it over with? She needs to be put out of her misery.

I think she just says things to get a response out of people. She's so vile.

Oh, absolutely she does. But despite the outrageous and offensive things she does (or because of them?) she remains in the public eye. I hate how things like this kinda come about then self-perpetuate. I can't stand folks who just aren't good people. Makes me sad.

I saw the little video clip where she called John Edwards a faggot, and it didn't really surprise me too much that she said something like that, because basically she's one of the biggest clueless bitches I've ever had the displeasure of witnissing in the public eye. I think what disturbed me most is that, even though she was speaking to a conservative forum, nobody even had the decency to call her on it. I don't get her, and I don't get the group mentality of allowing her to remain in the public eye. She's disgusting.

I find it appalling the aw sewage that plops out of her mouth. And this isn't the first time by any stretch. What I don't get is why people giving her a microphone. People used to be judged by the quality of the people they kept around them. I think that the people who invite her to speak and say "oh she is right about alot of things" should be judged by those standards. Mit Romney, Guiliani, Brownbeck etc were all at that CPAC 2007 meeting, and should be asked repeatedly to defend her statements.

Note McCain wasn't there (for booking reasons) so of major Republican candidates, he gets a pass in my book.

foggot = piece of wood

That being said, her comment is more commonly found in a junior high locker room than a political event. Haven't we all grown up past the name calling phase?

(PS. The kid who says that in the Jr Hi locker room is liable to get detention. Can we send a note home to her parents or something??)

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Coulter,

Your child has been having social problems with the other children. One little girl lost her father in an accident and Anne accused her of "enjoying the attention."
