Oh dear. One of my friends posted a survey. You know what that means...
1. Explain what ended your last relationship? Drama. And really, it was distance that ended the drama, thankfully. The need to finally be steadfast and make a decision, too, I guess. I'm not good at that, though, as most of you know.
2. When was the last time you shaved? Yesterday morning? I think? Or it might have been Monday morning.
3. What were you doing this morning at 8 a.m.? Sleeping. Yeah, I have a short commute and I push it as close as I can in the mornings.
4. What were you doing 15 minutes ago? Running down my list of daily websites. Still am (the LJ part is the longest one, of course).
5. Are you any good at math? Basic math, yes. I do mental math like a madman. And I'm good through calculus. You start getting into DiffE and Multivariable and onwards, and you lose me. Yeah, I did some in school. But I never "got it". Wish I did, because I really do like math.
6. Your prom night? What about it? Went with Jen to Junior and Senior Prom in high school. Never was much a fan of Esperanza or Rondolet at Rice, though I did go a few times.
7. Do you have any famous ancestors? Not that I know of. A friend's ancestor was the first man to be arrested in the New World. That's a dubious honor, huh?
8. Have you had to take a loan out for school? Kinda. It was from my grandmother, and it was without interest. I'm paying her back, albeit slowly.
9. Do you know the words to the song on your myspace profile? Oh how much joy this answer gives me: I don't HAVE a MySpace profile. Eat that.
10. Last thing received in the mail? Er... I haven't checked it lately. So probably lots of things. Stupid junk mail. Last pleasant thing I received in the mail: the Guster album Lost and Gone Forever.
11. How many different beverages have you had today? Two. Water and Diet Sunkist.
12. Do you ever leave messages on people's answering machine? Yes, but I don't like them.
13. Who did you lose your CONCERT virginity to? Guster opening for Barenaked Ladies. Still one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
14. Do you draw your name in the sand when you go to the beach? I probably have at some point, but not as a rule. And I'm rarely at the beach in the first place.
15. What's the most painful dental procedure you've had? None really, just scraping plaque off. But I haven't been for a long time, so I fear what will need to be done :(
16. What is out your back door? I don't have a back door. I have a door to my balcony, which isn't really "back", but it is a door other than the normal entrance/exit. There are a couple camp chairs, a cooler, and two bikes out there.
17. Any plans for Friday night? None as of yet, but I will probably end up going to some bar with the vintagehandbag crowd.
18. Do you like what the ocean does to your hair? I'd never really thought about it, and my hair changes so much. But right now, probably yeah :) The salt water would make it kinda clump up, which is what I use product to do anyway.
19. Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different popcorns? Not personally, but I have partaken of them when friends or family have received them.
20. Have you ever been to a planetarium? At least once, but I couldn't tell you when or where.
21. Do you re-use towels after you shower? That would be disgustingly wasteful not to.
22. Some things you are excited about? I GOT MY SWIFT FLIGHT FORM! IT KICKS ASS! Beyond that, friends visiting, possible windsurfing, several good movies coming up, books and games released within the next year or so... yeah, I've got a lot I'm looking forward to :)
23. What is your favorite flavor of JELLO? Depends on my mood, but generally: if I'm having it along with other stuff, probably lime. If I'm having it on its own (snack, dessert, etc), probably something like Strawberry-Kiwi with sparkly water :)
24. Describe your keychain(s)? Many keys, including work, home, car, bike lock, and more; an RBT bottle opener; apartment gate clicker; oval metal thing from Howdy Honda (adds the right amount of weight).
25. Where do you keep your change? In a cup in my room, plus a bit in the drawer at work, a bit in the car, and occasionally some in my pockets before I transfer it elsewhere (but rarely for more than a day, in the latter case).
26. When was the last time you spoke in front of a large group of people? When I gave my last circuit design review in my old group. I hate hate hate speaking in public (even small groups). I don't mind speaking/leading/whatever, but there needs to be a buffer and I need to know what I'm talking about. I can lead an entire instance in WoW with no problem, because I'm very familiar with the content and I don't have people staring at me.
27. What kind of winter coat do you own? None. No, really. I used to have some back at my parents' place in upstate NY, but it/they mysteriously disappeared. I need to buy one, and more importantly some rain gear. I don't have so much as an umbrella.
28. What was the weather like on your graduation day? High school: sunny and warm. University: Partly cloudy, hot and humid.
29. Do you sleep with the door to your room open or closed? Open, unless I have company (and open then too if I know them well and they don't make too much noise--it feels weird to have it closed because it's eternally propped open when I'm alone.
