What we have here is the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing’s users. As in, they sit on the shelf to make you look smart or well-rounded. Bold the ones you've read, underline the ones you read for school, italicize the ones you started but didn't finish.
Also, my own personal addition: those with asterisks are ones I actually CARE that I haven't read/finished. Oops: also editing such that those books I read for school and actually enjoyed/wanted to finish beyond needing to have both bold and underline, and the kinda lousy ones just underline.

Frankly, I was amazed at the number I had italicized. Some were because I just picked them up and read a few pages of them and then, either I didn't own it and didn't like them enough to go buy it (or did own and forgot to buy/never got around to it), or I was reading it for enjoyment and was getting no enjoyment out of it. Such is life. I guess I am kinda picky about novels, much moreso than movies. You need to invest more time in a novel, unless it's a really short one.
