I'm having a hard time justifying my love of Lolita fashion with my desire for it not to become popularized and watered down and disgusting. I left altcolumbus for similar reasons. Every time I made or responded to a post, I got attacked. I don't think it had anything to do with me personally, though; they were just a bunch of dicks. Fuck them.

Wow..I didn't even know you had any pseudo enemies on there! People are so stupid...oh well! There's nothing really worth the time on egl anyway. As long as you don't leave LJ it's all good!! :)

That is why the community needs people like me to bear the atrocities and give due justice where it is lacking. In other words, breaking the bad news to amateurs and complimenting those who actually know what the hell they're doing!

I actually wanted to re-comment that I'm starting to feel the same way about the community. Everyone is so nice to each other, and when I post a question I get a bunch of snarky comments or challenges and maybe 2 unsatisfying answers in there. I don't think they remember me enough to dislike me, so maybe I'm just posting the wrong content. Instead of showing off my wardrobe or posting links to articles written by a lady named Lolita, I'm posting controversial things about the meaning and background of Lolita.
