Thankless tasks

Why is it that whenever you are given a really mind numbingly boring task by someone else, it nearly always has do be done twice? And unlike with building work, you cant very satisfyingly smash your previous attempt over something (or somebody). You cant even kick it. Computers are just no fun sometimes.

Indeed. Working with computers is much more fun when theyre your own. And when you can insert loads of random bits and pieces without knowing whether or not they will work until you switch it on. Cue mad scientist cackling - MWAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!
