that's weird; it was really the other way around for me. And I had an abdominal hysto. I knew the recovery would be long, but somehow (after the first few weeks) it didn't interfere with my movement as much (although I could feel the incision for over a year whenever I laughed or coughed lying down).
Chest surgery was just hell because of the hematoma, but it's finally settled down. No more drains, no more crazy spurting blood, no more surgeon appts - just a checkup in a few months! It finally feels great.

Compared to my chest surgery, this surgery I feel like I went thru Normandy. My chest surgery was nothing.
