A few things....

1)  Bart loves my printer.  Like LOVES it.  No matter where she is in the apartment, when I turn it on, she comes running.  She lays all over it, has figured out how to turn it on and off and is just infatuated.  It's really cute actually.  Except when I try to use the printer.  Then its annoying ( Read more... )

White Christmas is my mom and I's favorite Christmas movie. EVER.

I come home on the 21st- I think I'm having a sort of 'open house', Kali's home from Thailand thing on the 22nd, which you're welcome to stop by if you can. If not then, we should get together around Christmas- I haven't seen you in AGES. :D

I love it so much. They cut out the scene where Danny Kay and Vera-Ellen danced on the rooftop, the WHOLE train scene with the room and "Snow, snow, snow." It was disappointing! I'll just have to make sure to watch the whole thing when I get home. My favorite part, though, is Wish I Was Back in the Army--when they have those oversized costumes. Always has been!

I will totally stop by the 22nd. Well, I will try my best. I'm hoping that the weather is nice and I get out of Cleveland early. You betcha if I'm at home, I'll see you!!! Can't wait! Are you going to miss Thailand?

spooning. i know all about it.

i don't have the book here with me, man... i totally want to read it. is that the hitchens one or the dawkins one? there are some theories that i don't really follow with dawkins (not that i don't understand them totally, but i think a lot is explained away on the behalf of his "politics" of atheism--it seems like he wants to create a more optimistic image for scientists and evolution and society than what science actually gives him). hitchens is amazing, though, and doesn't have to have the same sort of credibility because he's just a cultural critic. i almost went to see him speak at politics & prose (d.c.'s most famous bookshop)... he wrote "letters to a young contrarian" which really spoke to me.
