I've spent most of today looking at paintings on the internet. I search for random painters and see what I can find. It's a thing I do when I don't know what comes next. And so today I discovered Zdzisław Beksiński. A polish painter who was murdered in the year 2005. He died as he painted (so to speak). He was quie the painter and right up my alley

Wow. I had never even heard of Beksiński, so thanks for posting this. I went and looked him up on Wikipedia, and it's quite a fascinating read. That first image is haunting, but, as you say, hopeful too (that light!). Good stuff.
