As pointed out his character is the calm rational one in the midst of all the high drama of the female leads...so that my be why his performance is not moving you as much.

How was Gale's chemistry with Carla and Blythe?

well Gale admitted himself in a recent interview that the other characters are more clearer to him than his own which suggests to me he's still not perfected the role for himself. He still needs lots of work.

chemistry didn't exist with either co-star.

The set looks fantastic. Thanks for the pic. It'll be good to have the visual when I finally get around to reading the play. Did the chirping annoy you at all? I find those kind of effects irritating at times.

As for Gale's performance, he admits that he doesn't have a complete read on his character yet (though who knows when the interview actually took place) and if that's still the case, maybe that's what's coming across on stage.

Thanks again for the posts!

welcome for the pic-it really was a beautiful set up.
The sound effects did get annoying at times with the noise sometimes overpowering the actors' voices.
It'll be interesting to see if he can get a greater understanding of his character in time.

I'm still so jealous! God, I'd love to see Gale live. I'll settle for seeing Randy again next time he's at the Berkshire or wherever though. I hope Gale does get better as time goes on though. Sometimes when you haven't been on stage in awhile the audience can really unnerve you and that may be why he's not doing so well. I really hope as time goes on he'll get more comfortable and by the end of the play he'll have everything down pat.
