(Rated PG - no curse words. Pre-slash. Xander comes home from Africa. With a surprise. Some G-man angst. Mention of slayage - not the good kind.)
Thanks to Karen/s for the look through. Any mistakes are mine. Apologies to dr. squidlove for the similar

Wait. Ten years... ~click~ *Oh*. You need need a bell so I can keep track of you, B.
And no worries about the title. 'Coming Home' is not exactly running for the title prize.
It was so little to do, but Giles felt it was never enough. To give Xander now what he probably never had - a safe place to come home to.
Nice.
I knew it wasn't going to be a slayer - when you said it was just an e-mail for two tickets, I was sure he was coming home with a boyfriend. A child is much preferable. Kinda. ~g~
"Tried to tell myself, what would Giles say to the officious toady at the British Consulate? How would Giles handle a condescending flight attendant?" Xander paused to let the impish smile form, the one Giles was so fond of. "By the end of the trip, everyone was calling me sir."
lol - that's really cool.
Thank you!

I love this. I could so see Xander trying to make his way through a stressful situation by imagining that he's Giles.
At last, he returned the hug, allowing himself to just feel Xander's embrace for what it was: friendship.
No, Giles! It's love! Deep, lustful, enduring LOVE!
Seriously, I need a sequel.

--> I'm starting to consider it, since folk seem to like it. I'm glad you did. *g*

--> I like 'big boy' Xander. A lot.

--> I know. Giles deserves some happiness and reciprocal feelings, huh?
Seriously, I need a sequel.
--> I'll see what I can do. *-*
Thanks for your kind words,

"He never examined the giddiness he felt at the first site of the lad, just that he was excited.
One didn't moon after staff members. Nor men never given to relationships of the same sex.
Nor those young enough to be his child. It just wasn't done."
- Giles, really, you should know better, of course one does!
Sequel, pretty please.
