I just found some of Martin Luther Kings Jr's speech about Vietnam particularly prevalent-- it's kind of sad yet amazing that what he has to say is still applicable and therefore a problem frozen in our society.  Thoiugh it has been argued that every war post-WWII has been to exercise foreign policy.. but I hope others will take something from this ( Read more... )

how true. poor men ALWAYS fight the rich man's battles(in america, at least). and therefore, to a larger extent, war promotes a class-based society, where the poor are kept 'in check' by the wealthy. kinda creepy when you then take into account the tax cuts bush 2 gave to the wealthy/corporations...
