It has been said that the universe is built on flaws. That the wonders of life and gravity and the very essence of chemical bonds are based on imperfections in the natural order ( Read more... )

Is speaking about the universe and how it could be improved upon your only mode? Surely there must be a switch to turn you off.

Get a hobby, for God's sake.

Do you believe there could be anything of greater importance?

The way you speak of going back to the creation of it all is as worthless as complaining you want the sun to rise from a different direction, or for the continents to not shift...hell, as bad as wanting to place them back together! Better to speak of what can be changed now, in non-theoretical terms. That is what is more important.

What is this idea of it being flawed at the beginning?

...ah yes. You who set your sights on so very little in the grand scheme. To reflect on the true direction and fate of things, we must look beyond the world.

Ah, but I could have made some sort of difference in things had I ruled. But as my plan was merely an illusion, yours is a puff of smoke blown away by the wind. Even man has his limits, and as you are one, I doubt that will change.

No tyrant can ever effect a change worth making.

Tell that to anyone who ever ruled or taken a significant portion of the world. Persians, Romans, Napoleon... All dead but every one of them left their mark.
And that's Ex-tyrant, imbecile. My point still stands that you aren't making a significant difference on this world or any other anytime soon as long as you are just a lowly Ethics teacher.

Changes yes, but what of it? Tyranny brings with it oppression, enslavement, suffering, war...Anything else is simply happenstance.

I am far more than what you believe. You will learn that in due time.

You've never studied world history and culture, have you?

I've still impacted more in our world than you ever have. Who's team is still being feared and talked about, now?
And I sincerely doubt it. What are you going to do, theorize me to death?

I have studied it far more than you show evidence of doing.

You revel in that fear. I expected as much. To be feared...such meaningless drama. You are a man of greed, and I cannot forgive that.

Keep telling yourself that, if that's what it takes to feel secure in yourself.

Less 'reveling' and more pointing out. It does me no good here -in fact it is more of a stumbling block here-, other than to show you that if I spent years with my team, you can't accomplish you goals in your young age.

Oh no, you aren't forgiving me, how will I ever go on.

I have already accomplished far more in my "young age" than you have in your entire life. Your organization served to make you wealthy. Such things mean little to me save for a means to an end, and yet even on that front I have surpassed you.

How sickening that such things are as commonplace a determinator of success. Yet far beyond that, our true successes...

Have you considered why none acted against us save for that trainer? Why the population was content for us to do as we pleased? It was not out of fear as with yours. It was out of respect. To work for a better world, one unmotivated by greed or fear, that is what they respect.

We do not act in violence save for self-defense. Yet you struck first, eliminating all you so much as suspected of thinking against you.

And for what? Your organization was tattered. Mine still stands.

[After a few minutes of walking away from the computer before he exploded...]

The only ones 'eliminated' were those who tried to assassinate me first. At that point they were considered a threat and taken out quietly.

In what ways, and what is this 'success' you keep bringing up...

[He has a bad feeling as he rereads Cyrus' spiel...something feels wrong.]

What are you planning, little boy?

To beget violence is in itself evident of the state of the world. I aim to change all that. To strike out in such ways will be unthinkable.

I have not wavered from my goal. If you believe anything to be new in that regard, you are mistaken. What I plan now is what I have worked for my entire life.

[He thinks for a bit. Cyrus keeps going on about a new world or redoing things...this does not bode well. Well, time to guess.]

So what, are you planning to redo things? Make yourself more powerful?

In a way. Not in any way you could concieve of. And not for any reason you could possibly comprehend.

You speak of those things you do not understand. Very well, all do. Yet you do under the guise of knowledge rather than to seek to uncover.

Perhaps that is my flaw, that I expect better.
