It seems that some of the crew are suffering from morale-related issues. I believe it may have something to do with not seeing their various home planets in quite some time. I wonder why this has come up all of the sudden. (Especially now.) I usually think of the Enterprise as my home, although I do miss Alaska from time to time. All that open land

Speaking from the perspective of a Voyager crewmember, I would say most definitely. At least you've got a counselor to help you deal with that sort of thing. chakotay tries his best, but it's on an informal basis (and he's got some issues of his own that *he* could use some help with, with all due respect to a superior officer). We also have a 'morale officer', our cook/guide/DQ Ambassador Neelix, but let me tell you, leola root stew goes a long way toward *deflating* one's morale.

It's a whole different situation out there for you, of course. There is just something about the knowledge that you could return to your home planet if you really needed to that takes the urgency of the feeling away for me. It would be a lot harder to handle knowing that that wasn't an option anymore. ltbarclay has mentioned that he is part of a project working to bring Voyager home. I hope that it becomes a success.
