People who have never heard of fanfiction

Hitwise, a company that tracks trends and things based on what people search for on the Internet, just posted a graph about Fanfiction.net. That one site accounts for 30% of all traffic in the fanfiction category

... hm. I find that curiously odd, but you know... I guess there are still people like my mother who is still struggling to master the whole ebay thing.

I spend all day around young, super net-savvy people, and I'm always suprised when people don't know the depth of these types of fandoms. I mean, sites like The-N.com actually encourage their young users to write fanfiction about the people on their shows!

Maybe those 10 people just didn't want to admit to knowing what fanfic is..?
