I have been asked more questions than I feel like answering individually, and so I now speak to you all directly in hopes that what I say here will prevent me from having to repeat myself in the future.
Those of you currently locked in cells, which is where you rightfully deserve to be, may still be wondering how you arrived on my property. I do not know, nor do I care, but you are here now. You will all have to deal with it.
However. (pause. he sounds a little exasperated about this next part.) Cid Amon has convinced me to... (another grumbly, growly pause, as if this is hard for him to say.) Release you from the dungeons. I suggest you treat him with gratitude!
All of you, prisoners and Caravan travelers alike, will assist me in searching for my gem. It is a palm-sized rose bloom that should still be mostly garnet. If the edges or a number of petals have no coloration and apear to be clear, that is fine. If you find it, contact me immediately. Do no bother trying to break it, you will not be able to.
Your efforts will be repaid with rooms to sleep in, facilities to use, and food. You may visit those areas whenever you wish. You may-- you may enter whichever rooms you wish, but do not make a mess of things. If you destroy anything of value, you will find yourself in the dungeons by way of enchantment. If you attempt to leave the castle grounds, you will also find yourself in the dungeons by way of enchantment. I'm sure you see the pattern.
Aside from this, your Way-Warrant insists your "spirits may be low due to your recent hardships" or some nonsense. I have agreed to allow a masquerade. It will take place tomorrow evening in the ballroom, which will be undergoing preparation and will be only section of the castle you will find locked. You may search through the storage quarters for whatever items you may need if you wish to participate in the masquerade.
A game of sort will take place during the masquerade. If you feel the need to participate,
tell him. Winners will be rewarded.
