Bruce enjoyed Christmas. Not because it was happy fun times with family. Don't be foolish. He enjoyed it because it gave an easy, built in excuse for why he might disappear for a week to, say, get some survivalist training in over in the Sahara. Or something. Ramona had newly-dyed pink hair, a newly-hardened disposition, and a newly-made decision.

So when she wandered back inside after taking a smoke break on the roof and passed Bruce's room, she had to stop. "Taking off for Christmas, or something more permanent?"
