How I long for the days when things weren't so immediate and people were patient. And they wore fancy hats. And said 'hi' to strangers and made eye contact.

You mean the time before cell phones, emails and fax machines??

When I worked in the mortgage industry I was always surprised at the "urgency" of everything-- what did the business do before faxes? Took things at a REASONABLE pace, no doubt.

I totally understand your pain. At least now the people I work with are learning to be patient (along with their addition facts, ancient history and life science! LOL!).
