Is there enough alcohol in wine to kill...whatever ends up in a pool when people are in it??? Bathing in it might be amusing, but drinking it strikes me as vile.

yeah, I'm pretty sure that people drink real Beaujolais Nouveau from bottles and bathe in a solution of Beaujolais Nouveau and something to prevent disease. Bathing in fermented sugar sounds inadvisable.
