He couldn't let himself get his hopes up. Not when he'd forced himself to deal with the loss of their ally. It had been harder than he originally thought it would be, but he'd gotten to a point where he was okay.
Which only made him angrier at this imposter.
His expression hardened, one hand wrapping around the hilt of the demon blade.
"Who the Hell are you?" he demanded, voice cold.

"I'm obviously the Easter Bunny. I got a little lost on the way, but..." He dug around in a jacket pocket until he found a small chocolate egg and then tossed it at Sam. "I've hidden three more around the room. If you find them all, you get a special prize." The prize was more chocolate.
"I felt the shockwave from Purgatory sucking up that sucker. Score another one for the chuckleheads, I guess." He eyed the blade. "You know that thing can't hurt me. For someone who just won a fight against something older than humanity, you sure don't think things through."

It couldn't be. Gabriel couldn't be alive. There was no way. But the way he spoke? The words he used? That was Gabriel through and through. He'd have picked out his personality in a sea of imposters.
