I love how insightful your recs are and how you can tell us about the story without giving away details that would take away from our enjoyment of the actual book. I read one of your recs today (Everneath) and your review of that was spot on.
Do you write reviews for display at your library? I think you'd be exceptionally good at it. I can always tell after reading your reviews whether I'll like the book.
Aww, thank you! I appreciate that. I wouldn't dream of spoiling a story, and I try really hard not to give away too much without being boringly vague. ;)
I don't right now. My boss and supervisor had apparently discussed me blogging about YA, but they haven't spoken to me about it yet. (Maybe after summer reading club is finally over).
When I was looking on Goodreads, even some of the BNF reviewers (BNRs?) who blast everything were singing her praises. I was intrigued by that. :)
Hmmm, I read her books out of order. Not that there's a set order or anything (her books are all stand-alone novels) but some of her characters reappear in other novels. Most of the books are set in a particular city or area, so there's a lot of overlap. I actually decided to read TTAF because Jason had appeared as a minor character in What Happened to Goodbye? (which I read first). So I guess my advice is read them in the order they were published. :)
I adore Sarah Dessen's books. I discovered her about this time last year and have read almost everything she's written. I agree, I really liked this book. Although I think Along for the Ride and Just Listen have to be my two favorites.
I think I still have a few of her books left to read, but the library doesn't have them all. I just finished Lock and Key and Along for the Ride will be the next. :)
She's fantastic! I wish I'd read her books sooner!

Is this where you would recommend I start with her books?
